Basic Clean or Deep Clean? How to choose for your Worcester home
Choose a Basic Clean (R308) if your home is already in decent shape and you want it kept that way. Choose a Deep Clean (R572) if the oven, fridge, window tracks or cupboards have not been touched in months. This guide is for Worcester and Rawsonville homeowners who want to pick once and get it right.
What a Basic Clean is for
A Basic Clean is the regular home clean. It is the one you book again and again. It keeps the parts of your home you use every day looking and smelling fresh.
Think of it as maintenance. Nothing is being rescued. Things are being kept up.
We bring all the products and equipment. You hand us the keys, or stay home if you prefer. The price is fixed, so you know the number before we arrive.
What a Deep Clean is for
A Deep Clean covers everything in the Basic Clean, then goes into the places you only reach a few times a year. It takes roughly two to three hours more than a Basic Clean.
It suits three situations:
- You have let cleaning lapse and the house feels behind.
- Family or guests are coming and you want every corner done.
- You are starting with us and want a clean baseline before moving to regular visits.
What each tier includes
This is the scope as published on our Basic Clean and Deep Clean pages.
| Basic Clean (R308) | Deep Clean (R572) | |
|---|---|---|
| Surfaces wiped throughout | Included | Included |
| Floors swept and mopped | Included | Included |
| Bathroom fixtures cleaned | Included | Included |
| Kitchen benchtops cleared and wiped | Included | Included |
| Oven interior | Not included | Included |
| Fridge interior | Not included | Included |
| Bathroom descaling | Not included | Included |
| Under and behind furniture | Not included | Included |
| Window sills and tracks | Not included | Included |
| Cupboard interiors | Not included | Included |
A Basic Clean does not include appliance interiors, carpet extraction or cupboard interiors. That is the line between the two tiers.
A quick test: which one do you need?
Walk through your kitchen and bathroom for two minutes. Then answer these.
- Open the oven. Is there baked-on grease you can see? That points to Deep.
- Look at your window tracks. Dark and gritty? Deep.
- Check under the couch or bed. A visible line of dust? Deep.
- Open a kitchen cupboard. Crumbs and stale smells? Deep.
- None of the above? Basic is enough.
One yes is a reason to consider Deep. Three or more means Deep is the right call. We go into the warning signs in how often a Worcester home needs a deep clean, and into the spots people forget in the kitchen and bathroom spots most households miss.
Can you just add an oven clean to a Basic Clean?
Yes. If the oven is your only problem, a Basic Clean plus our Oven Clean add-on (R180) comes to R488. That is R84 less than a Deep Clean.
Once you want the fridge, the descaling, the cupboards and under the furniture as well, the Deep Clean is the better value. Add the Interior Windows add-on (R120) on top of the oven and you are at R608 before anything else is covered.
Other add-ons you can put on any clean:
- Carpet Steam Extraction: R150 per room
- Oven Clean: R180
- Interior Windows Only: R120
The usual path: Deep once, then Basic
Most people do not need a Deep Clean every visit. A common pattern is one Deep Clean to bring the house up to standard. After that, regular Basic Cleans keep it there.
That way the next Deep Clean, a few months on, is a top-up. It is not a rescue job.
What about a move-out clean?
If you are leaving a rental, there is a separate Tenant Move-Out Clean at R935 for a standard two-bedroom, with a landlord walkthrough checklist. It is a different job from the regular cleans above, so we will keep it brief here. The move-out clean page has the full scope.
How booking and payment work
You book on the site, or request a quote if your home does not fit the standard options. There is no payment when you book. After the job is done, we send an invoice. You pay by EFT or by card payment link, whichever suits you.
Something missed? Tell us and we come back within 48 hours at no charge. We serve Worcester and Rawsonville, and larger homes are quoted by bedroom count.
Common questions
Is a Basic Clean enough for a house I have not cleaned in months? Probably not. A Basic Clean does not reach oven interiors, the fridge, window tracks or cupboard interiors. Start with a Deep Clean, then move to Basic Cleans to keep it up.
Do I have to pay when I book? No. You pay after the work is done, by EFT or card payment link.
Do you bring your own products? Yes. We bring everything, and we use NRCS-registered products that are safe for kids and pets.
Next step
Not sure which tier fits? Pick the one that matches your answers above on our booking page, or send a quote request and tell us what the house needs. We confirm a fixed price, and you pay only once the work is done.
